Employer Responsibilities
As a participating employer in the Steelworkers Pension Trust, your organization plays a vital role in securing retirement benefits for your employees. Your primary obligations include:
Making timely contributions
Accurate reporting
Contribution Guidelines
Employer contributions to the Steelworkers Pension Trust are established through the collective bargaining agreement between the employer and the United Steelworkers union. The agreement specifies the contribution rate, which must meet the plan minimum of $0.20 per hour worked or 2% of gross earnings, whichever applies.
Contributions are remitted to Zenith American Solutions, the plan’s third-party administrator, which processes all employer payments and maintains contribution records.
